The Hive does more than Studio Rentals and Mental Health services…
PROGRAMS AT THE HIVE
Following our mission, The Hive offers various programs to promote a creative, educational, safe, and healthy environment for musicians. We are always looking or new program ideas to to expand the musicians and community that frequent The Hive. All programs are managed, lead, and developed by volunteers with the support of the Boise Hive.
WHAT IS A PROGRAM?
A program is a regularly recurring activity with a unified theme that happens at Boise Hive or at Hive-related events. Our programs are focused on empowering musicians in both their musical craft as well as their mental health. Participating in these programs should provide an avenue to improve and expand music and mental health in our community.

Student Jazz at the Hive
Student Jazz at the Hive gives music students an opportunity to play in a relaxed session with a professional rhythm section and be coached onstage by Boise’s leading jazz keyboardist and instructor, Justin ‘Fingers’ Nielsen. Student composers are a focus of this program, expanding engagement to create the next generation of jazz.
